Tom's Place has been serving Abbeville county as well as Upstate SC since 1993. We began this business with just 1 barber - Tom. Since then, we have grown to many more barbers and stylists. Over the years, we've had the privilege of meeting thousands of people and calling them "our customers." We like to think we are the epitome of a small-town barber shop. Give us a visit for a great cut, color, and more than likely catch some sports smack talk!

Tom has been cutting hair since 1992 when he left the Abbeville Police Department. He became a trainer in 1998 so that he could train others into the profession he loves. Tom has been married to his wife, Marie, for over 30 years. They have 3 sons including Austin who trained under Tom and is now working at the barber shop. He loves nature and spends lots of his weekends camping at state parks around the upstate.
Jane Erwin
Cosmetologist
Jane has been a licensed cosmetologist since 1983. She loves spending time with her family and watching her grandson play travel baseball. She considers her coworkers at Tom's Place not just fellow employees, but family.
Amber Overholt
Master Hair Care Barber
Amber started cutting hair at Tom's Place over 10 years ago and was trained by Tom himself. Amber's favorite part of working at Tom's Place is the customers. She says, "My side kick that works beside me (Tom) makes the day pass by so fast because I never know what's going to come out of his mouth."
Austin South
Barber
Austin was trained by Tom in 2011 and has been cutting hair at Tom's Place since. He, his wife, Lauren, and his kids, Emery and Dallas, live in Abbeville about 5 minutes away from the barber shop.
